My experience with Seishin Jujitsu in Southgate has been extremely positive. I have several years of experience with Wing Tsun, Aikido, and Karate, but nothing has been quite as practical as the Ju-Jitsu training I've received from Sensei John.
Throughout each 2 hour class, he walks you through several self-defence techniques, which you have the opportunity to practice with a partner during the session and are given pointers on how to improve your technique by small adjustments to your body and a fuller understanding of the reasons behind it.

I have been a student of Sensei John's for over 5 years, and he has always been extremely knowledgeable, patient and an excellent teacher.  His years of experience are really tangible and everybody in the class from beginner to more experienced student receive equal amounts of attention and respect.
Seishin Ju-Jitsu is a great club with an excellent atmosphere, and I highly recommend it!

I've been doing ju-jitsu for about 5 months now. I joined the club after I  took part in a self defence class with Sensei John which was really informative, therefore I wanted to hone in and develop my defensive fighting skills further.

Ever since I've joined I've loved every minute of it! Sensei John and Carla are very knowledgeable and skilled at the art and are always willing to help and answer any questions.

Their detailed and demonstrative approach makes me feel comfortable and supported, enabling me to progress at my own pace in a safe and nurturing environment.

Such a way of learning has made me view Seishin Ju-jitsu as my extended ju-jitsu family and I'd recommend this club to anyone who has a passion for martial arts!

It is always difficult to come back to martial arts after a break of a few years but Seishin Ju-Jitsu was the obvious choice as I had studied under Sensei John before.

Sensei John is very knowledgeable and, more importantly, great at passing on that knowledge. Not only is he a nice guy, he breaks down the technique and also takes the time to explain to students why certain techniques have to be done in a certain way - rather than just shouting at you and expecting you to copy everything he does. I have tried the latter approach in the past and it does not work for me .

If you are just starting out in martial arts, you will be taken aside at the beginning to get more or less personal training by one of the more advanced grades, most notable here the excellent Carla. Forever smiling and incredibly patient, she seems to manage to make everyone feel at ease.

The club members are very friendly and welcoming and everyone tries to make you feel at home. I can only recommend this club whole-heartedly.
